The Ceramic Shop Darvan 811 is a powerful deflocculant that makes it easy to improve the fluidity of casting slips, glazes, and vitreous and semi-vitreous clay bodies. It is highly effective at small percentages, making it an economical thinning and dispersing agent for stoneware, high-fire slips, and high-iron clay bodies, too. When added to casting slips, it weakens the electrical attraction between clay particles to thin the slip without needing to add more water.
