The new Game Type J Rods integrate Shimano's patented Hi-Power X and Spiral-X Core technologies for rod blanks that perform flawlessly under the most demanding circumstances. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This construction results in an extremely responsive rod that allows for instant power transmission while casting or jigging, and greatly enhances fish fighting capabilities. Spiral X blanks are 250% more structurally rigid and 180% less prone to twisting than standard blank construction. Offering only the finest of components to compliment these state-of-the-art blanks, models with power ratings Medium-Light through Medium-Heavy feature Shimano Ci4+ Reel Seats, which are comfortable, extremely light, and are among the most sensitive reel seats available.
