Upgrading the renowned Trevala rod family with some of Shimano's most advanced rod technologies, the Shimano Trevala PX Jigging Casting Rods are a versatile series built for premium performance. A name that has become synonymous with offshore jigging, the Trevala series quickly became a staple among vertical jigging and bottom fisherman after it brought the revolutionary Butterfly Jig system to the United States many years ago. Now incorporating technologies that were previously exclusive to top-of-the-line Shimano rod series, the Trevala PX seeks to continue the legacy in dominant fashion. Built on blanks featuring Hi-Power X reinforcing technology, the Trevala PX increases overall strength and responsiveness while keeping the rod blank lightweight and comfortable to fish. The Hi-Power X blank is built with an outer layer of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity to reduce twist and ovalization while jigging or fighting fish. Fitted with only premium components, these rods feature Shimano CI4+ reel seats for supreme comfort and sensitivity. The rod blanks are wrapped with Sea Guide XQG and XOG guides with Zirconia inserts for optimal durability and line management with braided lines. With a diverse array of lengths, powers, and handle configurations to choose from, there will surely be a model to fit your personal preferences. Whether you plan on using it to jig Northeastern fluke and seabass, fish the diverse Florida reefs, or battle giant pelagics around the globe, the Trevala PX is a must-have for your arsenal of rods.
