G Loomis 2024 GLX Bass Casting Rods With over four decades of experience handcrafting rods in the United States to the finest capabilities on the market, the G Loomis 2024 GLX Bass Casting Rods embody the pursuit of G Loomis for "continuous refinement" and serve as the tangible benchmark that other manufactures can only attempt to follow. Refined Blank Technology At the core of this next evolution is its refined and improved rod blank, with key structural upgrades that have been achieved through the proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite and advanced resin technologies. Boosted strength-to-weight ratios, improved balance, and the seemly unattainable step up in the sensitivity department over its previous generation make for a serious force to reckon with on the water. Each blank is rolled on stepped mandrels, along with undergoing machining processes to create a series of micro-tapers at key areas of the blank. This process, known as Multi-Taper Design, works to isolate potential failure points of the blank and reinforce them with added material for class leading durability. Engineers at G Loomis took this innovative rod technology one step further, by incorporating unique flex patterns within the blank and tuning them for technique specific actions. Premium Componentry All models in this GLX Bass series utilize a full lineup of lightweight and robust Fuji K guides with Si C rings, dispersing line freely with tangle free performance. Premium AAA cork grips are available in split or full configurations dependent on the model, with the right amount of grip and comfort for hard use to come. A custom lightweight CI4+ reel seat provides the rock-solid grip on your favorite reel and amplify the angler's connection to the rod blank for every bit of added sensitivity that can be offered.
