This entry level edition to Daiwa's "Light & Tough" series of spinning reels is built on a platform that enhances durability, reduces weight, and is super comfortable to fish with. The Crossfire sheds as much as 20% of reel weight from the old Crossfire reel design, making long days of fishing less tiring and more manageable. The solid ABS Aluminum Spool resists flexing and distorting under heavy loads, while the proprietary Advanced Tournament Drag System provides powerful, smooth pulling drag pressures. At the reel's core is a set of cold forged, precision machined Digi-gears that provide superior power transfer and rotational smoothness. The Crossfire is available in a full range of sizes to cover a wide range of both freshwater and saltwater applications.
