Rod - Full Details Reel - Full Details The Shimano Economy White Marlin Rod & Reel Package is the "economy" package for the all Shimano fan that wants to pair the popular and cost effective Tyrnos reels with their popular Tallus slick butt ring guided rods. Tackle Direct has put together everything you will need to target one of the most sought after sportfish that drives anglers wild, the White Marlin. If you are looking for the rod and reel combos themselves, just the rigging accessories, or the full comprehensive package, all of the work has been done for you. Whether you prefer Shimano, Penn, Avet, Accurate, or Truth reels, models have been hand selected to perfectly match rods from both Shimano and Blackfin that many of the top crews swear by. All reels within these packages feature high gear ratios of 5.1:1 up to 7.1:1 in order to bring in huge amounts of line with each crank of the handle to ensure the angler is tight on the fish while he is dancing behind the boat, and allowing for quicker releases to get back on the hot bite. The rods selected are ideal for trolling naked ballyhoo with circle hooks with their soft tip sections and open turbo style guides to decrease resistance on the line, both ideal for increasing your hookup ratios. An accessory kit (not included with this package) includes just about everything needed to build circle hook rigs and the rest of the gear needed to come back into your slip with outrigger halyards flying a bunch of flags. These are ideal packages for anyone from the professional tournament angler to the weekend warrior to get dialed in for banner days out on the edge.
