Built for the hardcore angler targeting giant tuna with stick baits, poppers, soft plastics, and other lures the Shimano Ocea Plugger Big Game Popping Rods feature top of the line rod technology to assist anglers in the fight. At the center of these rods, Shimano's proprietary Spiral X Core technology was used which offers 10% more torsion rigidity and 15% more compressional rigidity compared to rods built with the standard Spiral X. Spiral X Core has much of the same characters of Spiral X, however, utilizes Toray Nanoalloy in the development which enhances the standard Spiral X Carbon tape construction. This construction along with the addition of Hi-Power X, delivers a rod with improved rigidity, faster recovery, lighter physical weight, and overall blank strength. These rods offer great casting distance and accuracy to reach feeding fish on the surface, all while keeping weight down for all day fishing. A Fuji Titanium Si C Guide train offers great corrosion resistance, weight reduction, and true casting performance, sacrificing nothing in the pursuit of big fish. EVA grips not only look good but offer great control even when wet and are ultra-comfortable for long fights. Long gone are the days of heavy, cumbersome tackle that fight you more than the fish, the Ocea Plugger Big Game is here to provide the best tool for the job, cast further and land giants.
