Designed to provide the ultimate advantage over the toughest offshore game fish, the Shimano Terez BW Slick Butt Spinning Rods specialize in versatility and unwavering reliability. Built on Shimano's most advanced blanks to date, the Terez BW rods benefit from three proprietary Shimano blank technologies - Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly wind the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. UD Glass greatly enhances rod strength while retaining the ability to flex. This combination of rod technologies increases the structural rigidity of the rods so that they remain true under load while enabling anglers to efficiently transfer power through the blank for much needed fighting power in heavy offshore applications. Outfitted with only the highest quality components, the Terez BW Slick Butt rods feature highly durable Fuji Si C guides and Fuji DPS-H reel seats. The slick butt handle configuration allows for easy insertion and removal from rod holders at a moment's notice. Anglers will find this series to be the ideal workhorse offshore rods for techniques like bottom fishing, live-bait fishing, and even sight casting artificials.
