The Jigging World AMF Popping Rods are built with the finest Japanese carbon sheets that enhances the overall durability and strength of these rods. The AMF series is a collaboration with Ralph Craft - owner of Crafty One Customs in Portsmouth, RI. These rods were designed for battling large-class sized Bluefin, Yellowfin and Big Eye Tuna. The AMF series (AMF stands for Alpha Mike Foxtrot - which was commonly used back during the Vietnam War) has been designed to have all the required strength and backbone but comes with a more moderate bend under load that reduces stress and fatigue on the angler. This allows an enjoyable fight against smaller class-sized fish as well larger pelagic species.
