A hands down favorite for trolling along the Florida and Gulf Coasts, the Clarkspoon Mackerel Duster Rigs are the best way to fill the fish box with plenty of Spanish mackerel. The Mackerel Duster Rigs combine two popular trolling lures to double you chances at success; Mylar Dusters and the famous Original Clarkspoon. A 1/8oz mylar duster is rigged on a 2/0 hook ahead of a #0 spoon on 45lb black coated wire. This wire rigging is especially nice to have when larger toothy predators like king mackerel and bluefish are around. These rigs can be run across the surface or attached behind a planer or trolling sinker to troll at depth. Use the barrel swivel at the top of the rig to attach you main line or leader, and the ball bearing snap swivel at the bottom to attach your Clarkspoon or other desired trolling lure.
