The Point Jude Hammer'n Groove is a hammered vertical jig with assist hook which has proven itself very effective on tuna when feeding or moving in deeper parts of the water column. The unique grooved body along with the hammered finish of gold or silver creates a very enticing wounded fish action when fished vertical or casted and reeled in. The hammered finish has a strobe effect with the water and the grooves cause it to wobble and dart like a wounded baitfish. This rugged and unique lure has taken many Yellow Fin, Black Fin, Bluefin Tuna, Stripers, Cod, Haddock, and even Sea Bass!The 4.5 oz. Point Jude Hammer'n Groove lure has the same dimensions as the 7 and 9 oz vertical jig models, it's just lighter so the surf caster can throw it. This unique lure can actually be worked on top like a pencil popper! The Hammer'n Groove 4.5 oz. lure will cast extremely far, but rides up and with a moderately fast retrieve, can be worked on top and just below the surface.
