The blanks feature custom tapering that provides an action that loads well for extreme casting distances while retaining the backbone necessary to put the brakes on giant trevally, tuna, dorado, or any of the dozens of other pelagic heavyweights that Hawaiian anglers will come across. All rods from the Hawaiin Custom Series feature top-notch components including Alps-316 stainless guide frames with zirconium inserts for exceptional durability and flawless casting performance. All models also feature a split butt design to reduce weight and improve balance. Handles are constructed from a combination of comfortable EVA foam and compressed cork.
