Shimano Terez BW UB High Speed Rod Blades w/ Rod Butts Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt High Speed Trolling Rods The Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt High Speed Trolling Rods are built for anglers who like to push the pace while trolling, utilizing advanced rod technologies for total refinement and serious performance. Shimano incorporated several key blank technologies with the creation of each rod blade, including Hi-Power X, Sprial X, and UD Glass construction, working together to maintain the rods structural rigidity and strength under load. This allows anglers to efficiently transfer all their energy into the fight, ideal for big game offshore species. Lining the length of each rod blade are Fuji Si C Guides and a Winthrop Roller Tip, seamlessly moving line off and on the reel under some of the most intense drag loads, mitigating friction. Features and Technologies of the Shimano Terez Blue Water Full Roller Conventional Standup Rods Hi-Power X Spiral X UD Glass Construction Winthrop Si C Guides Winthrop Roller Rod Tip EVA Foregrip Blade Configuration Aftco Curved Unibutt Constructed of the finest marine grade alloy aluminum, the Aftco Curved Unibutt serves as the stable platform that both reel and rod blade easily secure to. Through Aftco's unique "swaging" process, the aluminum butt is "unitized" to the reel seat, creating a connection which maximizes strength with minimum weight. The aligning pin-plug gimbal and fixed hook are locked in permanent alignment so that the gimbal, reel, and rod guides always align up exactly. The ferrules are precision-machined for complete interchangeability with rod tip sections, and an O-ring on the ferrule prevents corrosion between the ferrule and the reel seat. A Teflon ring inside the collet nut assures snug fit, prevents galling, and allows for easy removal of the nut. Available in several different styles and colors, the Aftco Unibutts are a simple, high-quality component, ready to complete your rod and give you seasons of use if not.
