These Levelwind reels are built around a sturdy aluminum frame and slideplate that's anodized for maximum corrosion resistance. Housed within the rigid frame is Daiwa's DIGIGEAR system where digitally engineered gear design ensures a perfect mesh for optimized speed, power, durability and smoothness. Hard fighting bottom fish will be met with strong resistance thanks to Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag, which utilizes a proprietary grease that reduces initial drag start-up inertia. Combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System, drag payouts are smoother from the initial hook up and can stop hard charging fish dead in their tracks. The levelwind, spool tension knob, and easy-adjustable star drag make these reels user-friendly options for novices and experienced anglers alike.
