A compact squarebill that packs a major punch, the Rapala Balsa Xtreme BX Brat Squarebill Crankbaits are well regarded as one of the best shallow running crankbaits to ever hit the market. The BX Brat is the perfect tool for power fishing through shallow cover like rocks, stumps, laydowns, grass and more. The positioning of both the square lip and line tie cause the bait to swim nose down, causing the lip to be the first thing to make contact with obstacles. This allows the bait to aggressively deflect away from cover every single time, triggering reaction bites and keeping the sticky sharp VMC treble hooks clear from potential hang ups. The BX Brat is built with a balsa inner core surrounded by an armor coating of rugged copolymer. The balsa core gives the bait a prominent wobble and swimming action thanks to its high buoyancy. The durable copolymer coating is highly impact resistant, allowing you to cast at docks and rip-rap with confidence knowing that one little casting mishap won't cause your crankbait to explode.
