Shimano Terez BW BFC Conventional Rods Meticulously designed to tackle one of the most prized gamefish around the world, the Shimano Terez BW BFC Conventional Rods are a high-performance option ready to dominate your next trip on the water. With input from tournament billfish captains, these rods offer great versatility and work well for both trolling ballyhoo and kite fishing, making for great versatility to easily change tactics. Several highly advanced and proprietary blank technologies are built into this series of rods, such as Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction, working together to create one of the lightest, most powerful, and sensitive blanks on the market. Each model is lined with Fuji Si C guides and a Winthrop Epic Butt finishes the rod off, offering a secure platform for your favorite conventional reel to fit onto. Hi-Power X Hi-Power X utilizes diagonally wrapped carbon tape that runs up and down the length of the blanks outermost layer to reinforce its twist resistance. This also allows Shimano to perfect precise actions for the blank, specifically tuned for big game and the trolling tactics that go with them. Spiral X Construction Spiral X Construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions, enhancing torsional and compression rigidity without adding extra weight.
