The Megabass Sleeper Gill Swimbaits are another extension to the wildly successful sleeper series, giving anglers a baitfish profile replicating bluegills, sunfish, crappies and more. Its signature dorsal fin weed guard protects the hook inside the bait itself, reducing and eliminating snags in weed, timber and other debris that often are the right places to be in. While this feature creates a more natural silhouette, Megabass made sure to maintain a high capability of this bait to provide great hook up ratios due to its hollow body that allows the bait to be easily compressed when struck. The Sleeper Gill's low center of gravity along with pectoral fin balancers provide for a very natural swimming action regardless of how fast the retrieve speed is. A slow and steady retrieve is where this bait shines, as its low center of gravity provides slight body roll and its sensitive tail provides delicate disturbance. This bait can also be retrieved and walked off the bottom or off cover, as the bait sits upright in a more natural foraging stance at pause.
