Designed for taming some of the biggest and baddest fish that freshwater environments have to offer, the Shimano Compre Muskie Casting Rods are engineered to perform in the hard won moments muskie anglers need them to the most. The Compre Muskie aims to help dedicated musky anglers cast longer, fight harder, and ultimately land more fish. Built on well balanced, powerful fast action blanks, these rods will handle the punishment of casting extremely heavy lures thousands of times in succession. The extra long AAA-grade cork handles assist in heavy casting and provide much needed leverage when the fight is on. Wrapped with premium Sea Guide XBG Zirconia guides, casting with heavy braided lines will not be an issue, as the inserts are highly durable and the guide frames help eliminate tangles that could lead to catastrophic tackle failures. The rods incorporate a Fuji reel seat and a compression cork butt-cap that will help reduce strain when fighting with the rod-butt against your waist or mid-section during long, drawn out battles. All models over 8 feet are telescopic to increase ease of transport and storage. Not limited to just musky fishing, anglers of many stripes will gravitate towards the Compre Muskie for its rugged construction and powerful backbone. Don't be surprised when these rods make frequent appearances on saltwater vessels that are deep water bottom fishing.
