Claus Riedel changed the world of wine when he realized that bouquet, taste, and balance are all affected by glass shape. First made in 1989, the Overture series introduced reasonably priced wine glasses for varietal-specific wines into the market. As part of the series, Riedel designed Champagne glasses to accentuate fine mousse, texture and fruity character, while the etched point at the bottom of the bowl ensures a steady stream of bubbles.
