A riff on our timeless JH x Tensira Porter Pillow, this throw pillow was created in collaboration with Tensira a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing methods. We dreamed up Porters original design in-house, drawing on the motifs found on antique French parquet flooring to create an unexpectedly dimensional, blocky feel. Tensiras team of skilled craftswomen then brought our design to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and traditional indigo-dyeing techniques that were passed down for generations. Once completed, smaller sections of this fabric were then carefully stitched together to create a mesmerizing, maze-like design that we just cant get enough of. Finally, we finished it with a plush down and feather pillow insert for soft, sink-in comfort. We couldnt be happier with the end result, which blends a blue, black and white palette with European elegance and global authenticity. Perfect for adding a little interest to a favorite armchair as a single, we also love our Porter Maze Pillow layered with our other JH x Tensira Pillows for an effortlessly chic feel. 22" x 22" 100% cottonhand spun and woven hand dyed following traditional indigo dyeing techniques envelope zipper closure down and feather inserthandmade in the republic of guineajayson home x tensira.
