New for 2019, Maverik revamps the A1 shaft with the Maverik A1 Goalie Lacrosse Shaft, made with a lighter-weight feel and added control. Made with the original A1's speed shape, the 2019 A1's shape helps the hands move easily around the stick, allowing for more control and added feel when handling the ball. The speed shape adds grip too, allowing the goalie to move their hands freely when trying to make saves. When combined with the GritGrip Technology, the A1 offers optimal grip in all weather. Maverik's Scandium Alloy adds strength to the shaft without adding weight, allowing the goalie to have quicker hands and better reaction time. The Scandium is also designed to withstand hard shots and checks when coming out of the crease. Fitted with Maverik's Adjustable Butt-End (ABE+), the player can customize the feel of the stick in an endless number of ways. A new silicon liner in the ABE+ adds stability, and locks into wherever the player chooses to place it.
