Ausgehend von der Theorie rationaler Handlungen (Rational Choice Theorie) wird empirisch untersucht, aus welchen Grnden sich Landwirte gegen die konventionelle und fr die kologische Landwirtschaft entscheiden. Einen zweiten Schwerpunkt bildet die Frage, wie Umweltbewusstsein in die Rational Choice Theorie integriert werden kann. Zustzlich werden Probleme der Operationalisierung und Messung von Rational Choice Variablen diskutiert.
