Das deutsche Bilanzrecht ist in jngster Zeit verstrkt zahlreichen internationalen Harmonisierungseinflssen ausgesetzt. Mit der EU-Verordnung sowie der Modernisierungs- und der Fair Value-Richtlinie wurden erste europische Vorgaben zur Angleichung an die IAS/IFRS erlassen, die durch das Bilanzrechtsreformgesetz in Deutschland zum Teil bernommen wurden. Gaby Pottgieer untersucht die Auswirkungen der internationalen Standards auf die deutsche Rechnungslegung im Jahresabschluss und in der Steuerbilanz und entwickelt zwei Modelle zur kurz-, mittel- und langfristigen Implementierung der internationalen Standards in das deutsche Rechnungslegungssystem. Das erste zeigt den Weg und die Probleme einer sukzessiven, vollstndigen bernahme der IAS/IFRS auf, das zweite bercksichtigt die Belange des Mittelstandes und geht von einer moderaten Reform unter der Zielsetzung der Annherung der Handels- und Steuerbilanz aus. Die Autorin zeigt, dass das traditionelle System des deutschen Glubigerschutzes nicht vorschnell aufgegeben werden sollte.
