Susanne Krenn untersucht, inwieweit die Entscheidung zum Eintritt in einen neuen Auslandsmarkt auf gesellschaftlich-soziologisch motivierter Nachahmung beruht. Sie analysiert, wie sich Markteintrittsentscheidungen anderer Unternehmen auf die Entscheidungen eines Unternehmens auswirken und welche der unterschiedlichen Gruppen von Unternehmen, z. B. durch Vorstands- und Aufsichtsratsverflechtungen verbundene Unternehmen, als mgliche Vorbilder dienen. Grundlage der empirischen Analyse bilden die Markteintritte deutscher DAX-100-Unternehmen in die Lnder Mittel- und Osteuropas und in die asiatischen Staaten der ehemaligen Sowjetunion zwischen 1990 und 2003.
