Dieser pauschale Konglomeratsabschlag wirft jedoch bei nherer Betrachtung Fragen sowohl nach dem Grund als auch nach der Hhe auf. Auf der Basis der Transaktionskostentheorie untersucht Andreas Funke, ob und unter welchen Voraussetzungen die Verwendung eines Konglomeratsabschlags theoretisch zu begrnden ist. In seiner empirischen Untersuchung zeigt er anhand eines neuen Datensatzes europischer Konglomerate, dass die Verwendung eines pauschalen Konglomeratsabschlags aus fundamentaler Sicht nicht zu rechtfertigen ist.
