Im Mittelpunkt dieses Bandes steht die Diskussion eines (oder des?) leitenden Paradigmas der Soziologie. Dieses Modell trgt der Forderung des methodologischen Individualismus Rechnung, Vernderungen von Makro-Phnomenen ber den Umweg der Mikro-Ebene, also ber die Entscheidung von Akteuren, sowie deren Aggregation zu erklren. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die These, dass vornehmlich die Makro-Phnomene von soziologischem Interesse sind, diese aber eben nur durch die Rckfhrung auf das Handeln individueller Akteure vollstndig aufzuklren seien. Der vorliegende Band unterzieht dieses Modell einer kritischen Wrdigung und will zu einer offenen Diskussion der Vor- und Nachteile dieses Paradigmas einladen. Die Beitrge setzen sich dabei neben der mit dem Modell verbundenen Methodologie und deren Grundlagen auch mit der Frage auseinander, in welchem Sinne die Badewanne als eine umfassende Sozialtheorie verstanden werden kann.
