Seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten zhlt die Problematik der individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Folgen der Zuwanderung nach Deutschland zu einem der zentralen Themenfelder der ffentlichen, politischen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Debatte. Dabei spielt die Frage der Eingliederung in die funktionalen gesellschaftlichen Systeme eine entscheidende Rolle. Gerade in Bezug auf die rumliche Absonderung der Migranten in bestimmte Teilgebiete der Stdte wird immer hufiger vor den Risiken einer dem Eingliederungsprozess entgegenstehenden Ghettoisierung der Migranten gewarnt. Vor dem Hintergrund einer derartigen Diskussion stellte sich die fr diese Arbeit zentrale Frage nach dem Verlauf der Eingliederung und insbesondere nach dem Einfluss der residentiellen Segregation der Migranten auf deren Ausgang.
