Die Studie untersucht soziokonomische und demographische Indikatoren, individuelle Einstellungen und institutionelle Rahmenbedingungen hinsichtlich ihres Einflusses auf die Wahl des Familienmodells. Mittels eines Multi-Methoden-Designs wird analysiert, ob die hufig postulierte Erosion des traditionellen Ernhrermodells tatschlich stattgefunden hat und inwieweit sich alternative Modelle zur Vereinbarkeit von Erwerbs- und Familienleben durchsetzen. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, welche Faktoren die Entscheidung fr bzw. gegen ein Familienmodell bestimmen. Zudem wird offen gelegt, wie sich staatliches Handeln aus Sicht der Betroffenen auf die Vereinbarkeit von Familie und Beruf auswirkt. Am Ende stehen Antworten auf die derzeit in Politik, Wissenschaft und Medien viel diskutierte Frage, welche politischen Manahmen hinsichtlich der Ablsung des traditionellen Familienernhrermodells hemmend oder aber frderlich sind.
