Product Details
The term double wide is exactly that. It's two scissor assemblies welded into one frame. The purpose of this is to offer wider tops that are not available with a single scissors. A standard rule is that the table top cannot be 2 feet wider than the base frame. An example of this is that a 48" wide base table can have up to a maximum top width of 72". However, if this was a double wide 48" wide base, the top could be 12 feet wide. The other benefits of double wide base tables are increased capacity and increased edge loading.
