m Zentrum der Studie steht die Frage, ob und inwieweit Ostdeutschland nach der Wiedervereinigung von einem Individualisierungsschub erfasst wurde. Dies wurde auf Grund der schnellen Anpassung der Lebensbedingungen in Ostdeutschland an westdeutsche Verhltnisse von vielen AutorInnen erwartet. Die Ergebnisse dieser Untersuchung widersprechen der Vermutung nicht. Sie zeigen aber, dass der Individualisierungsprozess in Ostdeutschland auf Grund der anders gelagerten Sozialisationserfahrungen der Menschen sowie der Spezifika des Transformationsprozesses zahlreiche Besonderheiten gegenber dem westdeutschen aufweist, d.h. eine andere inhaltliche Ausprgung annimmt, in anderer Richtung verluft und sich auch in anderer Strke darstellt.
