Beate Kasper macht deutlich, dass der Einsatz von Instrumenten aus dem Qualittsmanagement nicht zum Erfolg von Schlerinnen und Schlern beitrgt und die Schulqualitt nicht verbessert. Vermittelt ber eine grundstzliche sprachanalytische Kritik des Qualittsbegriffs u. a. mit Searle und Wittgenstein gelingt es, eine Parallele zwischen der Qualittsdefinition vor der Aufklrung und der gngigen Definition im Qualittsmanagement herzustellen. Anhand von Befragungen von Schulleitungen und Lehrkrften in zwei Sekundrstudien kann die Autorin zeigen, dass die beteiligten Akteure aus den Schulen ebenso wie aus der Bildungspolitik und der Bildungsverwaltung jeweils ihren eigenen Interessen nachgehen und tradierte Muster nicht verlassen. Die governanceanalytische Einordnung der Ergebnisse mndet in der Feststellung, dass ein Paradigmenwechsel von der Input- zur Outputsteuerung im Modus der Behauptung stattfindet.
