Die vorliegende Arbeit beschftigt sich mit der Politik konomischer Reformen in jungen Demokratien. Aus der Perspektive neuerer Anstze der Policy-Forschung (Akteurzentrierter Institutionalismus, Vetospieler-Theorem, Advocacy Coalitions Framework) erfolgt in Form konfigurativer Studien die empirische Analyse der Politik konomischer Reformen in Argentinien, Uruguay und Thailand. Die Analyse zeigt, dass Reformpolitik durchsetzbar ist, wenn Krisen im Sinne von Windows of Opportunity Reformchancen erffnen. Diese Gelegenheitsfenster wirken aber nur, wenn entscheidende Akteure (Vetospieler) im Sinne eines Policy-Learning ihr Verhalten ndern bzw. die reformerisch orientierten Akteure (Reformkoalition) die Reformgegner berwinden oder berzeugen knnen.
