Am Beispiel Ecuadors wird gezeigt, dass die sozialen Disparitten und damit auch die bestehenden Macht- und Herrschaftsverhltnisse im Entwicklungsmodell des Neo-Extraktivismus im Wesentlichen intakt bleiben bzw. sogar (re-)produziert und perpetuiert werden. Anhand der vergleichenden Fallanalyse zweier Bergbauprojekte wird illustriert, wie politische und sozio-kologische Rechte der mittelfristigen Aufwrtsmobilitt der Gesellschaft zum Opfer fallen.
