Die Legitimation des ffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks und sein Beitrag zur Generierung eines Public Value werden immer fter in Frage gestellt. Anhand einer strukturellen Analyse medienkonomischer und verfassungsrechtlicher Rahmenbedingungen geht Corinna Wenzel der Frage nach, ob im sterreichischen Fall staatliche Regulierungskonzepte des ffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks zur Sicherstellung eines Public Value bentigt werden oder ob ein Mehrwert fr die Gesellschaft durch Selbstorganisation geschaffen werden kann. Die Autorin untersucht am Beispiel des ORF, welche konomischen und verfassungsrechtlichen Strukturen zu einem optimalen Output fhren und zeigt, dass seine externe, staatlich-gesellschaftliche Regelung konomisch notwendig und verfassungsrechtlich zulssig ist.
