Das Konzept des Geschftsmodells hat in letzter Zeit vermehrt Einzug in die wissenschaftliche Diskussion gehalten. Aus der Sicht der strategischen Unternehmensfhrung ist dabei nicht nur interessant, was Geschftsmodelle sind, sondern auch wie sie verndert werden knnen, um einen langfristigen Unternehmenserfolg zu sichern. Yves Meinhardt untersucht diese Aspekte anhand von sechs Fallstudien aus der Biotech-/Pharmaindustrie und bei Business-to-Consumer-Portalunternehmen. Er entwickelt zunchst einen Bezugsrahmen zur Systematisierung von Geschftsmodellen. Anschlieend leitet er aus den empirisch durchgefhrten Fallstudien vorlufige Hypothesen ab, die er dem vorhandenen Theoriegerst gegenberstellt. Als Ergebnis stellt der Autor Trajektorien von Geschftsmodellvernderungen dar und entwickelt ein Konzept, das diese Vernderungen erklrt.
