Der Einsatz von Multi-Channel-Systemen als Erscheinungsform der Vertriebs- bzw. Distributionspolitik hat in Handelsunternehmen eine lange Tradition. In den letzten Jahren hat das Interesse am Multi-Channel-Retailing jedoch auf Grund neuer technologischer Entwicklungen und des Bedeutungsgewinns des Internets erheblich zugenommen. Hanna Schramm-Klein analysiert die Wirkungen von Multi-Channel-Systemen auf das individuelle Konsumentenverhalten. Dazu entwickelt sie im Sinne eines konfirmatorisch-explikativen Ansatzes ein komplexes Wirkungsmodell, das sie mithilfe einer grozahligen empirischen Untersuchung berprft. Es zeigt sich, dass Multi-Channel-Systeme bei Betonung von hnlichkeit und Konsistenz in der Ausgestaltung als Strategie zur Steigerung des "Share of Customer" eingesetzt werden knnen und dass sie sich positiv auf Kundenverhalten und -bindung auswirken.
