Business Angel-Netzwerke (BAN) sind ffentliche oder private Organisationen, die einen Kommunikationskanal zwischen Business Angels und jungen Unternehmen herstellen sollen. Bisher ist nur wenig ber die Organisation und den Erfolg von BAN bekannt. Die vorliegende Untersuchung erarbeitet auf Basis der Club-Theorie und der Theorie der zweiseitigen Mrkte einen theoretischen Bezugsrahmen zur Untersuchung der Organisation und des Erfolgs von BAN. Die theoretischen Vorhersagen werden im Rahmen zweier empirischer Untersuchungen auf BAN- und Business Angel-Ebene umfangreichen qualitativen und quantitativ-statistischen Analysen unterzogen. Die Arbeit bietet damit sowohl fr Forschung als auch Praxis (Business Angels, kapitalsuchende Unternehmen und ffentliche Hand) einen spannenden Einblick in die Funktionsweise und den Erfolg von BAN.
