Elektronische Business-to-Business-Marktpltze sind ein viel diskutiertes Instrument zur Optimierung der Beschaffung. Auf Grund zunehmenden Kostendrucks setzen sich auch Krankenhuser intensiv mit ihrer Nutzung auseinander. Kerstin Oppel untersucht mittels einer empirischen Studie bei 115 deutschen Krankenhusern folgende Fragen: " In welcher Beschaffungssituation ist die Nutzung eines elektronischen B-to-Marktplatzes sinnvoll und welche Leistungen werden von ihm erwartet? " Welche krankenhausspezifischen Faktoren erhhen die Akzeptanz? " Welche Auswirkungen hat die Nutzung elektronischer B-to-B-Marktpltze auf bestehende Lieferantenbeziehungen? Es zeigt sich, dass elektronische B-to-B-Marktpltze zur Informationsbeschaffung bei komplexen Produkten mit vielen Anbietern eingesetzt werden, zur Transaktionsabwicklung hingegen eher bei Produkten von geringer Komplexitt. Es wird weiterhin deutlich, dass die Akzeptanz solcher Marktpltze in groen und kleinen Husern von unterschiedlichen Faktoren beeinflusst wird. Die Ergebnisse deuten zudem darauf hin, dass sich die Nutzung elektronischer B-to-B-Marktpltze zu Informationszwecken kaum auf die Lieferantenbeziehungen auswirkt, ihre Nutzung zur Transaktionsabwicklung hingegen zu einer Intensivierung fhrt. Ausgezeichnet mit dem BME Wissenschaftspreis 2003.
