berschlagsrechnen ist ein wichtiges Thema der Grundschulmathematik, das bisher kaum empirisch erforscht ist. Sabrina Hunke fhrt eine Interviewstudie mit 42 Kindern des vierten Schuljahres durch, um deren Lsungsverhalten beim berschlagsrechnen zu untersuchen. Dazu werden Aufgaben des Typs Wie viel ungefhr? und Reicht das Geld? eingesetzt, das heit direkte und indirekte berschlagsfragen. Die Auswertung erfolgt qualitativ in den Bereichen Vorgehensweisen, Flexibilitt, Komponenten des berschlagsprozesses und Fehler. Die Autorin zeigt dabei nicht nur die groe Bedeutung von Rundungsregeln fr viele Kinder auf, sondern auch die Besonderheiten des indirekten Aufgabentyps, und entwickelt aus dieser Analyse konkrete Konsequenzen fr den Unterricht.
