Die Autorin rekonstruiert empirisch, dass gute Erklrungen in den Klassen sehr unterschiedlich gestaltet sind. Darber hinaus zeigt sie, dass Erklren zwar wichtiges Lernmedium ist, jedoch kaum zum Lerngegenstand wird, wodurch Lernende mit eingeschrnkten Vorerfahrungen wichtige fachliche Lerngelegenheiten nicht nutzen knnen.
