Vor dem Hintergrund des zunehmenden globalen Wettbewerbs versuchen viele Unternehmen, mit flussorientierten Logistikkonzepten, z. B. "Supply Chain Management" und "Efficient Consumer Response", strategische Wettbewerbsvorteile zu erzielen. Diese Konzepte werden hufig mit einer modernen betriebswirtschaftlichen Standardsoftware untersttzt. Die Frage nach der Wirksamkeit dieser Strategien bleibt jedoch offen. Manfred Rssle stellt aktuelle Logistikkonzepte vor und diskutiert einen Kanon von Praktiker-Hypothesen zur erfolgreichen Gestaltung von Logistiksystemen. Auf dieser Basis entwickelt er eine Checkliste zur Abschtzung der Kompatibilitt von flussorientierten Logistikkonzepten und integrierter Standardsoftware. Die Checkliste wird anhand von SAP R/3 und dem SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer exemplarisch umgesetzt. Daraus resultiert ein Instrumentarium, das wichtige Hinweise fr einen erfolgreichen Projektverlauf gibt.
