Irene Dingeldey zeigt auf, da die britischen Gewerkschaften im Laufe der 80er Jahre einen Strategiewandel von konfliktiv-partikularistischen hin zu kooperativ-partikularistischen Strategien vollzogen. Mit Hilfe des Ansatzes des Historischen Institutionalismus kann dies als Wechselwirkung von Strategien und Institutionen bzw. institutionellem Wandel erklrt werden.
