Kinder werden zunehmend selbst zu Informanten ber ihre Lebenswelt. Dennoch fehlt weitgehend eine methodische und methodologische Auseinandersetzung mit dieser speziellen Zielgruppe. In dieser Studie wird die Durchfhrbarkeit telefonischer und face-to-face Leitfadeninterviews mit Kindern im Alter von 5, 7, 9 und 11 Jahren untersucht. Besonderes Augenmerk gilt den verbalen, interaktiven und kognitiven Fhigkeiten der Kinder, die wiederum Einflsse auf die Datenqualitt sowie die inhaltliche Gestaltung von Leitfadeninterviews haben. Es zeigt sich, dass wenn auch teilweise mit eingeschrnkten Erkenntnismglichkeiten die Befragung in beiden Interviewmodi bereits ab einem jungen Alter mglich ist. Aufbauend auf den Analysen werden praktische Hinweise fr die Befragung von Kindern abgeleitet.
