It is fitted with a patented high temperature catalyst pad, operates on either natural or propane fuel and is available in a wide variety of cabinet sizes. Cata-Dyne gas catalytic explosion-proof heaters are available in various models with Btu ratings ranging from 1,000 to 48,000 Btu/hr (0.3 kW to 14.0 kW). The Cata-Dyne BX Series explosion-proof infrared gas catalytic heater with 'X' Series catalytic pad is designed for use in many different applications that involve spot or space heating where hazardous materials may be present. This heater is only sold in the United States.
