Es werden grundlegende mechanische, vor allem aber auch thermodynamische Zusammenhnge erlutert, bevor an konkreten Beispielen (Wrmebergang, GuD-Kraftwerke, Wrmepumpen) gezeigt wird, wie mit Energie verantwortlich umgegangen werden kann, wie Energie richtig bewertet und sinnvoll genutzt werden sollte. Im Zuge dieser Erluterungen wird der Exergie-Begriff eingefhrt und ausfhrlich behandelt. Mit diesem Begriff kann die Qualitt von Energie sehr anschaulich dargestellt werden.
