Reiner Thiele entwickelt eine neue Theorie fr optische Nachrichtensysteme, die ohne die Maxwell-Gleichungen der Elektrotechnik auskommt. Dazu definiert er charakteristische Momente und Funktionen fr die Systemelemente einer Punkt-Punkt-Verbindung. Auerdem schlgt der Autor Dreieck-Impulse als Modulationssignal vor. Dadurch entstehen inverse Gabor-Wavelets im Lichtwellenleiter, mit denen die Signalbertragung erfolgt. Dies fhrt zu effizienten schaltungstechnischen Lsungen an den Endstellen der bertragungsstrecke. Damit ergibt sich schlielich ein einfaches Verfahren zur Signal-Rekonstruktion im Empfnger. Der Autor: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Reiner Thiele lehrte an der Hochschule Zittau/Grlitz und unterrichtet derzeit an der Staatlichen Studienakademie Bautzen.
