Dies ist ein wichtiger Forschungsbeitrag, weil die Entwicklung neuer Krebsmedikamente aufgrund immer hufiger auftretender Resistenzen gegenber altgedienten Medikamenten an Bedeutung gewinnt. Im Fokus heutiger Forschung stehen dabei unter anderem knstliche Metallonucleasen, die DNA in kleine Fragmente zerschneiden knnen und so lebenswichtige Zellablufe stren und schlussendlich zum Zelltod fhren.
