Addition von Radikalen an Carbonylverbindungen
Frederik Sandfort entwickelt ein neues Konzept, um Aldehyde und Ketone als intermolekulare Radikalakzeptoren zu verwenden. Hierzu optimiert er eine photokatalytische Reaktion, untersucht die Substratbreite und klrt den Mechanismus detailliert auf. In der Oxidation von Olefinen wurden geeignete Bedingungen vermutet, um eine intermolekulare Addition des gebildeten nukleophilen Alkylradikals an ein durch ein Proton aktiviertes Carbonyl zu realisieren. Als geeigneter Photokatalysator wurde Mesitylacridinium identifiziert. Zahlreiche 1,3-Dialkoxyprodukte konnten durch Kupplung von Aldehyden mit Alkenen erzeugt werden. Spannend sind zudem die vielfltigen mechanistischen Versuche, die zur Klrung des Reaktionsmechanismus durchgefhrt wurden. Der Autor: Frederik Sandfort M.Sc. studierte Chemie an der Westflischen Wilhelms-Universitt Mnster und promoviert dort zurzeit am Organisch-Chemischen Institut im Arbeitskreis von Prof. Dr. FrankGlorius.
