Die vorliegende Arbeit belegt psychologisch fundiert und empirisch gesttzt, dass sich verschiedene Persnlichkeitsmerkmale positiv oder auch negativ auf das Wissen ber den Klimawandel und die berzeugung vom Klimawandel auswirken. Basierend auf dem sechsdimensionalen HEXACO-Modell der Persnlichkeit von Ashton und Lee (2001) werden die besagten Effekte dargestellt und interpretiert. Die Erkenntnisse knnen genutzt werden, um notwendige nderungen im Lebensstil und bei Verhaltensweisen in der ffentlichkeit anzuregen, welche die Klimanderung begrenzen oder verhindern. Die Forschungsergebnisse liefern zudem einen Beitrag zur Aufklrung der Ursprnge von klimarelvantem Verhalten.
