Miriam Mauritz untersucht das intergenerationale Erziehungs- und Beziehungsverhltnis zwischen Mttern und Tchtern als Akteurinnen der Kinderladenbewegung. Thematisch an der Schnittstelle zwischen Studenten-, Kinderladen- und Neuer Frauenbewegung liegt ihr Fokus dabei auf Emanzipationsprozessen. Die Autorin folgt der Annahme, dass sich biographische Emanzipationsprozesse rekonstruieren lassen und darber sozialgeschichtliche Ereignisse individuell sichtbar werden. Sie fhrt empirische Analysen von biografischen Interviews durch, deren Ergebnisse an die Diskurse der Sozialen Bewegungen von 1968 rckgebunden werden. Neben einer begrifflichen Annherung an den Emanzipationsbegriff, insbesondere aus der Perspektive der Kritischen Erziehungswissenschaft, bietet sie eine historische Analyse der Politisierung des Privaten.
